Linda has always loved animals. During her life she has trained her own dogs, cats and horses. After a 20-year career in law enforcement and years as a certified personal trainer, she decided to pursue her true passion of becoming a dog trainer. She researched dog training certifications and chose CATCH, Canine Trainer’s Academy. After graduation she continued her studies and became certified by CCPDT, the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, the only nationally accredited organization, and received her CPDT-Knowledge Assessed designation. Linda has also obtained her SDC certification through Cooperative Paws, becoming a certified service dog trainer to assist those with special needs.
As a dog trainer, Linda understands that her role is not just training your dog but also the entire family. She draws upon her vast experience in teaching in order to create a positive learning environment for all. She is able to adapt to the style of the learner and explain exercises in an easy to understand way.
Linda regularly pursues continuing education and professional development because she believes that learning about dogs and training is a life-long pursuit.
Linda is a professional member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT) and a member of the Wake County SPCA Pet Behavior Network. Linda also volunteers with Vets to Vets United, Inc., training veterans and their future service dogs.
At Magster Dog Training we strive to make your dog the best family member it can be.
